The Leuna chemical site

Leuna has been synonymous with chemistry and innovation for more than 100 years. Important milestones such as the production of methanol using a high-pressure process and the large-scale production of synthetic fuel using lignite hydrogenation were set here.

Chemistry connects!

Today, Germany's largest self-contained chemical site covers an area of 13 square kilometres and is home to more than 100 companies from ten nations working on the future of the chemical industry.
