Legal, insurance, authority and regulatory management

The InfraLeuna Group's Legal, Insurance and Regula­tory Manage­ment department is re­sponsible for all of the company's legal matters.

This includes drawing up and reviewing contracts and providing legal advice to the service and specialised departments. The division also manages the Group's insurance portfolio and handles communication and cooperation with authorities and public bodies.

Insurance

InfraLeuna's excellent contact with public authorities, in particular the local (approval) authorities, is an expression of its broad professional expertise and many years of trusting cooperation. The Legal department is responsible for carrying out the InfraLeuna Group's main authorisation procedures. If required, the department also provides specialist advice and support to (new) investors and customers on issues relating to public administration or arranges contact with the right people.

Regulatory management

Within the Legal division, Regulatory Management Electricity and Gas Grid ensures the fulfilment of all regulatory requirements for the InfraLeuna Group. If required, Regulatory Management also provides technical advice and support to (new) investors and customers on regulatory issues relating to the electricity and/or gas grid.

The broad range of tasks primarily includes:

  • Contact person for all requirements of the regulatory authorities Federal Network Agency and State Regulatory Authority of Saxony-Anhalt
  • Drafting all network-related contractual relationships, in particular with suppliers, customers/end consumers and metering service providers
  • Knowledge carrier for the design of energy industry exemptions, mainly for individual grid charges and the special equalisation scheme
  • Processing/implementation of grid management projects, e.g. the integration of renewable energy plants
