Infrastructure & key figures

The Leuna chemical site is the largest closed chemical site and covers an area of 1,300 hectares. Since 1990, both international corporations and medium-sized companies have invested over nine billion euros here.

The highly flexible and efficient infrastructure enables activities in the field of speciality chemicals in addition to traditional bulk chemicals. InfraLeuna GmbH is the owner and operator of the infrastructure facilities at the chemical site itself and supports the local companies in their core business.

Optimum production conditions

The Leuna chemical site offers optimum conditions for your production. The site's natural gas and electricity networks are each connected to the upstream networks via two points. Together with the InfraLeuna power plants, which also provide steam and electrical energy, maximum supply security is achieved at all pressure levels and voltage levels.

Always well connected

Whether steam, air, water or wastewater - InfraLeuna's pipelines and networks ensure the complete supply and disposal of customers. Local companies use InfraLeuna's corridors and pipe bridges to exchange products. A modern road network 40 kilometres long and 90 kilometres of internal railway tracks ensure fast and reliable logistics within the chemical site.
