InfraLeuna is a Top-Training-Company for 2026
InfraLeuna GmbH is among the region’s top training companies: In a competition organized by the Chamber of Commerce and Industry of Halle-Dessau (CCI Halle-Dessau), the company was awarded the “Top-Training-Company 2026” seal of approval. With this award, the CCI recognizes the infrastructure operator’s exceptional commitment and the high quality of its training programs at the Leuna chemical site.
The award ceremony took place on May 4, 2026, at the Ständehaus in Merseburg. The event was opened by Dr. Simone Danek, Managing Director for Education and Training at the CCI Halle-Dessau, and Jörg Schlichting, Vice President of the CCI. The focus was on companies that impress with exemplary training concepts, dedicated support, and innovative approaches to promoting young talent.
During the event, the award-winning companies were officially honored. Claudia Donath and Josi Goldschmidt, who are responsible for training at InfraLeuna GmbH, accepted the award on behalf of the company. They were ceremoniously presented with the plaque and the certificate for the title “Top-Training-Company 2026.”
Seal of Quality Confirms Training Excellence
With the title “Top-Training-Company 2026,” the Chamber of Commerce and Industry of Halle-Dessau (CCI Halle-Dessau) honors companies that view training as a strategic priority for the future. Criteria evaluated include commitment to career guidance, the qualifications of trainers, creative training formats, and the individual support of young people.
For InfraLeuna, the award is both a confirmation and an incentive. “We are proud to have been recognized as a Top-Training-Company. This recognition confirms the daily commitment of our colleagues. For us, training means taking responsibility – for young people, for the chemical industry hub, and for the skilled workers of tomorrow,” says Raphael Gründel, Head of Human Resources at InfraLeuna GmbH.
A Wide Range of Opportunities for Apprentices at InfraLeuna
InfraLeuna is currently training approximately 40 apprentices in 12 different trades. The spectrum ranges from industrial-technical and chemical trades to logistics and apprenticeships in the field of safety. In addition to hands-on training, the focus is on individual support and a variety of development opportunities.
The training is supplemented by numerous additional offerings, including part-time firefighter training, training in a locomotive driving simulator, and additional continuing education in the field of digital applications, such as Windows-based tools.
In addition, the trainees are actively involved in specific in-house projects. These include, among other things, a practical safety project that covers occupational safety topics ranging from risk assessment and the handling of hazardous substances to fire, explosion, and first aid, as well as the Trainee-Fitness-Day in cooperation with Novitas BKK. In workshops and field trips, the trainees explore healthy nutrition, shift work, stress management, and the interplay between work and health.
Another integral part of the training program is participation in external competitions such as the IHK-Energy-Scouts. In these competitions, trainees independently identify opportunities for energy savings within the company and implement them through their own projects. This helps raise their awareness of issues such as energy efficiency and corporate climate protection at an early stage and teaches them to take responsibility for sustainable practices in an industrial setting.
Investing in Trainers Ensures Quality
A key factor in our success is the ongoing professional development of our trainers. To this end, InfraLeuna has established an annual training summit that combines networking, workshops, and continuing education. This year, five additional employees will also take the trainer certification exam – a clear commitment to ensuring high-quality training over the long term.
As a top-training-company in 2026, InfraLeuna is clearly positioning itself in the competition for young talent – with training quality, responsibility, and real future opportunities at the Leuna chemical site.
