Dialogue, Investment, Innovation: “Leuna-Dialog 2026” Highlights Industrial Prospects in Challenging Times

More than 120 regional and national companies from various industries will once again showcase their range of services for the industrial sector on April 23 at the Leuna chemical site.

The 21st “Leuna-Dialog” trade fair will take place on April 23, 2026, at the cCe Kulturhaus Leuna from 10 a.m. to 4 p.m. Organized by InfraLeuna GmbH, the operator and infrastructure service provider at the Leuna chemical site, the trade fair has developed into one of the most important platforms for dialogue among industry, service providers, research, and politics in Central Germany since its premiere in 2006.

This year, too, the trade fair attracted an exceptionally high level of interest: The event was once again fully booked in no time, with more than 120 exhibitors having secured their participation.

Leuna-Dialog is considered a staple for exchange along industrial value chains. Companies from all over Germany and beyond will present their range of services – from plant engineering and safety and environmental solutions to digital services and innovative offerings for the chemical industry hub and the region.

The trade fair will be opened by Dr. Christof Günther, Managing Director of InfraLeuna GmbH, together with Elisabeth Kaiser, Minister of State and Federal Government Commissioner for Eastern Germany at the Federal Ministry of Finance.

“The enormous interest and the rapid sell-out of the trade fair demonstrate just how great the need for in-person exchange is, especially in challenging times,” emphasizes Dr. Christof Günther. “Our industry is under pressure. This makes it all the more important that we have events like Leuna-Dialog, where solutions are developed and partnerships grow,” says Dr. Christof Günther. “Innovation arises from dialogue; resilience from collaboration. This is exactly what Leuna-Dialog has stood for for 21 years now.”

Despite challenging economic conditions, the Leuna chemical cluster continues to send clear signals of a promising future. New production facilities are coming online, including investments by UPM Biochemicals and TOPAS Advanced Polymers. In addition, there are ongoing and planned investment projects, as well as the systematic expansion of modern energy and infrastructure solutions – such as the commissioning of InfraLeuna’s first electrode boiler. The sustained interest from national and international investors underscores the site’s appeal. Research and development are also gaining further importance—not least due to the commitment of the German Aerospace Center (DLR) – and are sustainably strengthening the site’s innovative capacity.

“These signals make it clear: Leuna is and will remain a high-performing chemical hub,” said Dr. Günther. “This is where investments are made, where production takes place, and where work is underway on future-proof solutions – from sustainable processes and new technologies to resilient infrastructure. Leuna-Dialog brings together precisely the stakeholders driving this development.”

Admission for trade visitors is free. Further information, the accompanying program featuring keynote presentations by MicroHarvest, Linde, and InfraLeuna, as well as the trade show catalog listing all exhibitors, can be found online at https://www.cce-leuna.de/leuna-dialog-2026
