Container Storage for Hazardous Materials

Our containerized hazardous materials storage facility, which has been in operation since 2016, offers a safe and efficient solution for storing your goods at the Leuna chemical site.

Our high-capacity container storage facility for hazardous materials offers up to 120 container berths across an area of 4,500 m².

Some of the storage bays are heated, allowing temperature-sensitive materials to be stored there. A gantry crane spans the warehouse, enabling materials to be loaded and unloaded from both trucks and rail cars in a very short time.

We offer the following transshipment, parking, and storage options, as well as other services:

• from a road or rail vehicle to a storage area
• from a storage area to a road or rail vehicle
• from one road vehicle to another
• from one rail vehicle to another
• Heating with steam
• Heat retention via electrical connection
• Organization of the cleaning of loading units indoors and outdoors
• Loading and unloading operations at the Leuna site and the surrounding area

3        Flammable liquids
4.1B   Flammable solids or desensitizing substances
4.2     Pyrophoric or self-heating hazardous substances
5.1A   Strongly oxidizing hazardous substances
5.1B   Oxidizing hazardous substances
6.1A   Flammable, acutely toxic Cat. 1 and 2/highly toxic hazardous substances
6.1B   Non-flammable, acutely toxic Cat. 1 and 2/highly toxic hazardous substances
6.1C  Flammable, acutely toxic Category 3/toxic or chronically harmful hazardous substances
6.1D  Non-flammable, acutely toxic Category 3/toxic or chronically harmful hazardous substances
8A     Flammable corrosive hazardous substances
8B     Non-flammable corrosive hazardous substances
10     Flammable liquids not classified under any of the above hazard classes
11     Flammable solids not classified under any of the above hazard classes
12     Non-flammable liquids not classified under any of the above hazard classes
13     Non-flammable solids not classified under any of the above hazard classes
