Expansion of practical partnership between InfraLeuna and Merseburg University of Applied Sciences
InfraLeuna is a practical partner for the bachelor's degree courses in Applied Chemistry, Applied Computer Science, Chemical and Environmental Engineering, Electrical Engineering and Automation Technology and Mechanical Engineering at Merseburg University of Applied Sciences. Prospective students can now apply for a place on the dual study program at InfraLeuna GmbH.

The partnership and cooperation between InfraLeuna GmbH and Merseburg University of Applied Sciences has existed for many years. A corresponding agreement was signed in May 2003. Since then, the practice-oriented and study-related cooperation has taken place in the form of events, specialist conferences, excursions, internships and final theses as well as the supervision of student projects. With the current cooperation agreement, the focus is particularly on the partnership in the area of the dual network model, which combines theory at the university with practice in the company. Students are also given a degree of independence through attractive remuneration.
Dr. Christof Günther, Managing Director of InfraLeuna GmbH and Chairman of the Board of Trustees of the university, commented: “We want to further expand the existing cooperation between our company and the university with the dual study program. Ambitious young people have the opportunity to combine their studies at the university with practical experience at InfraLeuna. The remuneration during their studies and attractive career prospects at InfraLeuna make this model very attractive.”
During the lecture-free period and for project work during the semester, the dual students work and learn at their practice partner InfraLeuna. The theoretical knowledge and other skills are taught at Merseburg University of Applied Sciences. From day one, they are part of the InfraLeuna team and are actively involved in the execution of projects. InfraLeuna offers support in the preparation of the Bachelor's or Master's thesis as well as career entry through good chances of being taken on after successful completion.
“As Merseburg University of Applied Sciences, we are delighted to be intensifying our cooperation with InfraLeuna. It is a win-win situation for everyone involved. In particular, the breadth of InfraLeuna's range of services offers our students a variety of opportunities for cooperation and InfraLeuna benefits from excellently trained specialists,” emphasizes Prof. Dr. Markus Krabbes, Rector of Merseburg University of Applied Sciences.
