On-site safety is of primary importance
The chemical site is enclosed by a 25-kilometer-long safety fence. Three gates are manned by the site security service; eight additional gates are equipped with automatic entry-control systems.
Security measures taken include a gate security and patrol service. Our on-site security department can investigate cases of theft, burglary, damage to property, misuse of documents and breach of environmental laws upon request of our customers.
We can undertake the inspection of the transportation of dangerous goods, the signing-in of visitors and the issuing of identity cards and entrance permits for vehicles.
Our fire service personnel are on standby around-the-clock. Present in two fire stations, they guarantee a high level of security for both people and property. We will be glad to advise you on questions of fire prevention equipment or help you in training your employees.
Both the site safety department and the fire brigade are overseen by our computer-supported safety headquarters. All emergency calls and alarms are handled here. This enables us to co-ordinate the activities of our safety and security branch from a central location. Communication links exist to the civil authorities in Merseburg-Querfurt as well as to all firms present on the Leuna chemical site.
We also own and run an on-site road network including drainage and traffic co-ordination facilities and street lighting. This is one of the "main arteries" of the site. A comprehensive modernization programme is almost complete.
Our dispatching center is optimally located for easy access to road traffic. It has direct connections to both A roads and the motorway network. PERFORMANCE OVERVIEW
