On-site medical services at Leuna chemical site since 1916

We carry out examinations of your employees in accordance with all statutory regulations, such as prior to hiring, examinations for suitability and for health insurance reasons.

We currently care for over 100 companies, administrative bodies and institutions. We examine over 8,000 people a year.

Our location in the Leuna health centre facilitates direct links to doctors from other specialized fields, including internal medicine, gynecology, urology, ophthalmology, orthopedics and surgery. X-rays can also be performed in our health center.

The same works doctor cares for the company’s workforce over a period of years. Results of examinations are all close at hand and thus facilitate quality and confidential assessments.

PERFORMANCE OVERVIEW

Main activities

Our on-site medical services offer the following:

	Examination, assessment and advising of employees as well as compilation and analysis of examination results
	Advising of customer, in particular about: planning, setting up and maintenance of plant facilities including social and sanitary facilities, procurement of technical material and introduction of work processes, selection and testing of preventative materials; physiological, psychological, ergonomic and hygienic questions, in particular work rhythm, hours and breaks, layout of work places, work processes and environment, organization of first-aid in the work place, questions referring to change of work place and the incorporation of handicapped workers into the work place
	Observation of works safety and accident prevention measures including: visiting the work places regularly and informing the customer of any deficiencies found; suggesting ways to eliminate such deficiencies and assisting in remedy implementation, alerting the customer to effective use of protective equipment, examining the causes of work-related illnesses, compiling and evaluating results and suggesting ways of combating these illnesses
	To see that all those employed in the company follow regulations concerning works safety and accident prevention, particularly with regard to health and safety; to see that regulations are implemented in the work place; to brief employees on the equipment and measures for reducing these dangers; to help in planning and training first-aiders and medical personnel
