Every site is only as good as its traffic connections. With its of the German Unification Traffic Route Plan, the German government is investing billions of marks in improving roads and railroad tracks in the region. The Leipzig/Halle airport is currently being expanded to form a large air traffic junction point with international connections.


Air Links:

Leipzig/Halle international airport is situated 25 kilometers from Leuna. Two heliports situated in the Leuna area enable the area to be approached by helicopter.


Highway:

Leuna is directly situated next to the A9 Berlin-Munich and the A14 Leipzig-Magdeburg-Hanover highways. The current highways network is currently been extended by the A38 in the direction of Göttingen-Kassel.


Railroad:

Leuna has an internal railroad network for goods transport with connections to the main lines operated by the German Federal Railroad (Deutsche Bahn AG). All important connections for passenger transport are in the immediate vicinity.


Ship:

Four inland ports are available for the transport of freight by ship: Halle/Trotha at a distance of 40 kilometers, Aken at a distance of 80 kilometers, Haldensleben at a distance of 20 kilometers and Magdeburg at a distance of 140 kilometers.
